Strange Seas
So here's me, the skeptic (strong doubter of the wonders of, say,
Sedona-the-vibrational-center-of-the-universe, angels, UFO's, and
John Edward), sucked into a weird psychical adventure through
reconnection with one of my oldest friends. Kit, now a
wheelchair-bound artist, has become a "channel" for
information from somewhere out there; her access to
"answers" just happens to match my pile of questions,
centering on a growing fascination with dreams, the deep past, and
the sea and the whales and dolphins who live in it. Strange
Seas recounts the tale of an unexpected journey to where the
daily world and worlds much father out intersect and overlap.

After 30 years of writing ground-breaking science fiction, fantasy, and horror, award-winning author Suzy McKee Charnas is ready to take another daring leap.
That's what the press release says. What I say is, come join me on a
journey into mysterious and controversial territory: startling secrets of
the relations between humans and cetaceans, a close look at the strange
world of trance-channeling, and a glimpse into the changing life of a
writer with a restless and inquiring mind... not to mention this
author's first venture into electronic publishing.
Strange Seas, a non-fiction account of a strange adventure out on
the New Age edge and beyond, goes on sale at on Thursday morning, March 8,
2001, as an electronic download (cd-rom follows soon). This is the book I
mentioned working on in "Strange Seas" and "Works in Progress" back in August 2000. Thanks to the speed of
electronic publishing (and the pleasure and efficiency of working with a
publisher who is not a paper-bound book-acquirer enslaved by the
bottom line at Smash, Grab, and Exploit Inc. but a smart techno-guy who
loves books and has some actual guts) the work is now ready to fly.
Go take a look at Hidden-Knowledge.com.
If you are intrigued by what you see there, you may download/read free
samples and should you be unable to resist acquiring the whole story for your own
library, all is explained about how to buy a copy

What Reviewers say about Strange Seas
"... Charnas takes the reader on a journey of self-discovery and a
search for understanding... Strange Seas is an extremely well written and
thought-out piece... A smooth writing style and bits of humor add an extra
treat to the reading experience gained from Strange Seas, an experience that
should be shared and talked about. Unique, refreshing and compassionate,
this work is something that will stay on this reader's shelf for years to come."
Denise M. Clark
Denise's Pieces Book Reviews
"... A provocative exploration of the human/whale interface... It's a risky book,
because Charnas dares to explore and articulate ideas many of us have about
cetacean souls, intelligence, sexuality, linguistics. This is not fiction, but it reads
with the pace of a mystery story... What [the author] finds may surprise and
shock you."
