January 2008: The Vampire Tapestry, first published by Simon & Schuster in 1981 in and in print pretty well solidly ever since, will be re-released in a classy new package in August 2008, in the Orb line of Science Fiction classics from Tor-Forge Books.

June 2007: The secret feminist cabal of SF man-haters meets yearly at Wiscon — only it's not a secret, not a cabal, not man-hating, but yes, yes, feminist! Which turns out to mean hugely varied, intelligent, and stimulating. My report on Wiscon 31.

May 2007: My page on the comparative showing of Congressional members (and some of other pols) re: military services has been amended to include the names of two Republicans who stepped up.
