New on the Site!

Summer 2010: The first decade of the new century is coming to an end, and I've decided to give this place an overhaul. Rather than shut the site down, we will be putting up changes as they are ready on the page as it currently stands. New cover art will appear as currently out of print work gets re-issued in e-book forms, and surprises are planned. So Watch This Space!

August 2010: "Inception": hottest SF movie of the year? Or sad, bad dream?

April 2009: For some musings on a new work in progress — it's shaping up as a large-scope fantasy novel, something I've not done before — check my LJ blog: click Suzy Says.

January 2008: The Vampire Tapestry, first published by Simon & Schuster in 1981 in and in print pretty well solidly ever since, will be re-released in a classy new package in August 2008, in the Orb line of Science Fiction classics from Tor-Forge Books.

June 2007: The secret feminist cabal of SF man-haters meets yearly at Wiscon — only it's not a secret, not a cabal, not man-hating, but yes, yes, feminist! Which turns out to mean hugely varied, intelligent, and stimulating. My report on Wiscon 31.

May 2007: My page on the comparative showing of Congressional members (and some of other pols) re: military services has been amended to include the names of two Republicans who stepped up.
